British Motor Heritage Limited (BMH)

Original Body Shells, Replacement Panels & Classic Car Parts

Description

British Motor Heritage (BMH) makes replacement body panels and complete new bodyshells for classic British cars, using the original tooling, jigs and drawings wherever it can. The company began in 1975 as Leyland Historic Vehicles, part of British Leyland, and took the name British Motor Heritage in 1984. It builds in Witney, Oxfordshire.

It started building complete MGB bodyshells in 1988 and the MG Midget in 1991, and its range has since grown to include the Mini, Morris Minor and Triumph TR6, plus parts for other BMC-era cars including Austin, Austin-Healey, Riley, Rover and Wolseley. BMW owned the company after buying Rover Group in 1994 and sold it back into private ownership in 2001.

BMH sells through approved specialist retailers in the UK and abroad rather than direct to the public, and its parts carry the Heritage mark. It also looks after a large archive of original manufacturer drawings, which it is digitising.
