SELOC began life in November 2002 when a number of active Lotus owners, at the time members of a Kent focused road-run mailing list, wanted a better way to get in touch which was more under their control and which offered a richer experience for all Lotus Enthusiasts. The club has since evolved and is no longer limited to the south-east of England, nor is it exclusively for Lotus owners. In the first six months we had over 2,000 members join. In the first year we had over 750 members attend an event.
Now, in our 9th year, SELOC has over 10,000 members from 32 countries including Australia, Hong Kong, Slovenia and Wales and over 3,000 of those have attended an event. Our members own a wide range of Lotus models with the Elise and Exige featuring prominently, along with the Esprit, Evora and Elan.
SELOC is proud to be a member of the MSA. The MSA is recognised as the sole governing body of motor sport in Great Britain by the world governing body, the FIA. We have members all over the UK, Europe and Rest of the World.
We welcome anyone who either has a Lotus or is just an enthusiast.
We promote a wide range of social events such as track days, karting, regular evening and day runs throughout the UK and into Europe. All marques are warmly welcomed at our various events. We do ask that you drive sensibly and responsibly as well as with-in your own limits and the law if attending an event.
By pulling together so many Lotus owners we are able to negotiate club discounts with a number of suppliers and organisations.
